The Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE) Project provided farmers and consultants the necessary tools to form a roadmap that supported how and why nitrogen is supplied. Project participants worked with Discovery Farms to evaluate their nitrogen management practices to fine-tune cropping systems.
Our established dataset enabled us to create Wisconsin-specific benchmarks for Nitrogen Use Efficiency for farmers to see how their efficiencies relate to other farms in the state.
